I apologize if this post has been discussed further but I am new to WIP and having a problem loading troops on transports. I did a search but not see any similar post. I play UV quite frequently and it appears from the screens and game manual that I load ground units the same way as in UV. However, when I try to load a unit in WIP, the load screen that shows ground units at the base is blank. I think I am doing something wrong but I can’t figure out what it is?.....[&:]

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a post for the general forum, but I will answer your question anyway.

The most common problem is that some folks are trying to load troops that are attached to restricted headquarters and can not be loaded on to ships unless you pay PP's to attach them to a unrestricted HQ. If you try to load a ABDA unit you will only see a blank list when trying to select the unit.

Restricted Allied HQ
West Coast
ABDA
USFFE
Australia
New Zeeland
Canada

China Command can be considered "semi restricted" units can move anywhere on land but must have HQ changed to load on to ships

Unrestricted Allied HQ (Free to move anywhere)
North Pacific
Centeral pacific
South Pacific
Southwest Pacific
Southeast Asia

The Japanese restricted commands are
Home Defense
Kwantung
China Expeditionary

The rest are free
