Hello. I'm new to the forum. After years of playing SP vs the AI on Win98, I had to install WinXP for biz and found I could no longer play SP. I went to a search to find a fix and found that this forum, and that I should be able to download v.8.2. I have done so now approx 6 times (all 425mb) but the opening and installation does not work > it says there is a corruptied file or something is missing from the Zip file. I've tried different approaches and all 3 download sites. Any ideas on how to successfully download, open and install. Thanks. Darrell

Darrell the computer is incorrectly reporting a .exe file as a .pdf file if it is talking about Adobe at all.

Your solution might be as simple as manually changing the file extension to read .exe after the file name.

This is copied from my own system for instance, the setup filename should look like this in all likelihood...

SteelPanthersWorldAtWarSetup-v820.exe

The file is correctly a set up self executing installation file.

Hey Hexed Gamer... I think that the download file is a ZIP. Darell, if changing the extension to exe does not work, try changing it to zip.
