Changes to Carrier Airgroups

Hi there Im working on some OOB shanges to The Fleet Air Arm

anyway I have noted that as set out in the Database there are only two squadrons on all RN carriers Usually they had more than that with several differnt kinds of fighters on board, at least in 1942 one may even have 3 types of fighters on board at the same time !

anyway I know that there is some hard coding for the US & Japanese carriers for numbers and types of planes is there something similar done for the UK carriers

Cheers

Hi,

I completely agree with you on the British squadrons but i know the carriers are often a bit touchy about how many squadrons etc.

Did you notice that carrier groups have no max size?
That scares me right there. If i split Illustrious to 3 squadrons will i end up with 3-10 plane squadrons or 3-16 plane squadrons which would overload her?
Do the British carrier squadrons go up in size after '43 when the British finally started deck parking?
