First of all, Hello :D

Second of um.. all, i'd like to say im very excited that a new space shooter came out, i love this kind of games.

And what i see? Wow, it can be modded... Now the life couldnt have been more lucky.

You see, i love space, i love everything about it, space ships, stars, AND space landscapes

I am sort of an... artist, i create space-like images, and i would love to help any of you guys in creating backgrounds for your mods

here are examples of what can i do:

Check our project page and post in the forums, I wouldnt mind seeing in those could be adapted to work, or if you could create b5 type nebulas.

What is that terrian gen btw? and can it create textures to be used on a sphere? so far I"ve had to do it by hand, and I really dont enjoy that.

btw they look very good, those nebulas are quite impressive.

Thanks, ill do that ;)

Oh, and TERRAGEN is a free open source tool that is used to create photorealistic landscapes...

here is the website: http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/

I think you might position the camera very high and make it look all the way down, it would render something like the file in the attachment

(image rendered by terragen, but the terrain was generated by WorldMachine)

that is interesting.. I wonder if it is something like what milo used to create the planets, he did say it was rather complex.

yoobie, Those are really nice! I mean nice. How long have you been working on that kind of artwork?

If I may be so bold as to make a request: A view of a spiral arm galaxy taking most of the horizon. I just imagine that would be a nice background...
