mod in the works

just to say thatt you all have provided a lot of great info here as to moding.....
And it has all started to come together here, in the form of a mod i have started to work on. called brave new world, it is kind of like a cross between starwars, and battlestar galictia, and probably a few others. starts off in your home systemm of delta pavonis. outlaw ships are constanly attacking your cargo runs, after a few patrol missions and escort missions, which you gather intel during the missions, you attack the outlaw base which has a foothold in your system. after a while the cylons attack, you must feno off this threat, eventuly you will lose, and head out through the vastness of space, to find a planet called earth in the sol sector. as you travle through space yo must always be on the lookout for threats in the form of the empire, cylons, outlaws, borg, and more. there is no rute given to earth. using drons, and mission events, inteligence is gathred, you must use this intell to find your way. example you are in the solus sector there are 3 farcaster gates. named 14323 13754 19423 they sit in the 2 far corners and middle of the far side of the sector. you must get your fleet to the gate and pass through the correct one to the next sector in rute. the right one takes you to loris, the wrong ones take you to systems filled with many many evemy crfaft.
using random info nad random nav points, i have finished 4 missions and played them 6 times each not on was the same twice.
will post some pics as soon as i figure out how to taxe them.

How to take screenshots:

1. Get the view you want
2. Press the Print Screen Button (mine is above the insert key).
3. ALT-Tab out of Starshatter and open a graphics program (MS Paint)
4. CTRL-V (paste)
5. Save image. Recommended save type is JPEG.

Is that a Z-95 Headhunter from Star Wars? 'cause that what it looks like. I thought you were doing a Battlestar Galactica Mod. oh, nevermind.

yes it is from starwars.
so far only ships from starwars, and the borg ships have been done.

Don't know if your interested but I have a cube tha's more like Best of Both worlds/First Contact. I can't do def's or anything, but i made a post here a while ago asking if anyone wanted to use it or something. All I asked is to get the finished def,d version for use in the demo. I also made a pyramid.

@Pheagey: If somebody does a Star Trek mod, yes. (And IIRC somebody is)

But I was thinking more of taking the mods for the major universes and translating the stats into real units. A [VS] <insert sci-fi universe here> mod. Where you could safely mix universes. This way Matti, Melkor, DamoclesX, and anybody else who does a franchise mod can concentrate on just balacing their mod.
