8.1--->8.2?

Ok, I'm just slightly pissed off that my 3 hour long download from Fileplanet of 8.2 didn't work. 00:00 and then my downloads page goes to "Not Responding" for no reason. It then tells me that it was only on 51.0 MBs, but it doesn't download any more.
I'm starting the whole g*ddamned download over, but is there a place that is RELIABLE? Or 8.1 to 8.2 so that I don't have to download the whole damned game, and end up getting screwed over again?

Sorry to hear about that.
Really a bummer when you're on dail-up, eh?
Anyway, I think I've read that there is a problem with one of the mirror sites hosting the download.
Fileplanet may have been the one mentioned, so try another mirror.
I know I downloaded mine from one of the other sites.
Good Luck

Deathsai, there are alternatives. There are guys who will send you a CD. The offer presented by Steeler is still good, AFAIK.
I will tell you this, though--watch your language--some curse words are acceptable here, but g*ddamned is not one of them. Keep that in mind. Your previous post will be edited.

Meh, I am on cable. It's a really big file, and I'm just pissed that there is no way to go from 8.1--->8.2

Then if your that mad then dont get the game. ON one of the new upgrades it took me over nite to download by modem. This was before dsl such as zoom or road runner. Those of us who have been here from the start have gone thru this long download more then once. It has been one of the things we have gone thru over and over again.
Be like me and take your time wwith things. Good things will always come to the ones who wait the longest. There is too much aggravation in this world over the little things in live that dont really mean too much. Like gettin this game cant mean that much to make you that mad. Lighten up lay back and enjoy what you have in life.[:D][:D]
Like Gunny said there are a lot of people on this forum who will cut you a CD. If your unable to work it out ask for there help. I know they came to my rescue a year or so ago when i lost my hard drive. Good luck with it.

Not realy sure if 8.2 is worth the trouble yet. I've heard of some problems so have held off.
Still using 8.0 d & loving it.
understand yur frustration, but the dial up folks are the one I really feel for, having been one myself until recently.

Just pray that the fixes are a patch, and not another full download...

The main fixes are in the OOBs themselves, and we have a few new ENC entries, so the patch should be fairly small. If nothing else, Goblin, I can post the finalized OOBs over at the Depot, once the release goes public.

Hey Deathsai, I found that if your running anything like Winroute or other firewall programs that downloading from any site here,{Canada?!&*$#%@} will cause fuggupson things like the timeouts and I used the west coast mirror and it only took 45 min with router off Don't run any anti virus either
