Hello all!

New to Starshatter, just purchased it this week at GenCon in Indy, and like the look and feel of it. I am very much interested in modding with this program and have a lot of experiece with 3D moddelling on several platforms. I guess my main question is this... Are there any tutorials on how to go about doing modding, installing modded content and such. I did not receive a manual or booklet inside my gamedisk... so I am at a slight loss...

Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have the very same questions regarding modding as you. Here is what i have found so far Tutorials. The old forum has much more modding info then here. It was mentioned in one of the post here to search the old forum with this method: in google for you search string use "site:www.starshatter.com texturing" minus the quotes, replace texturing with whatever your query is. this is how i found the site above. Hope this helps.

Alrighty then,
I am not a modder, unfortunately life has not left me time. However, I am sympathetic to the modding urge particularly when it comes in the form of Vipers or (perhaps) Battlestars.
Here's Mehrunes site that contains the most concise description of the modding syntax that I've seen:
Mehrunes Modding Syntax list
Here's DamoclesX's Babylon 5 mod site. I *think* he has some modding type tips there but it's not up right now so I cannot be sure.
DamoclesX B5: Hold the Line
Also, here is Starbuck's Mod page for BG. I think that SB is done working on it. You may be able to contact same and arrange for assistance.
Starbuck's Battlestar Galactica Mod
I am not aware of any tutorials out yet, sadly...
Hope this helps. Also, I chanced upon your post by accident. The subject "new to forums" might be part of the reason that you didn't get much response. People may have just thought you were saying "hi" and not read the post.
Good Luck!

It is greatly appreciated! I have had success getting my viper in game [:)]

You can see my results here:

Thanks again for all over your help on this.... more to come soon...I hope [:D]
