Poly Limits

Hey,
I got back into Starshatter a couple weeks ago, and, liking what I've seen, I've been toying around with the idea of a small mod. Since it'll be a bit before I can pick up the full version, I've been spending the meantime creating models and boning up on related matters. I don't believe I've seen it stated around here anywhere, so I'm just going to ask straight: what are the upper /optimal poly limits for models that Starshatter can support? (I'm probably going to do this one way or another; I'm just not eager at the possibility of having to remodel and such).
