Was wondering how it went. Did you play Allied or Japanese?

I'm currently playing campaign game. Has anyone finished it yet?

I think some people have got to 1943, only to face the auto-victory. There is a "small" thread about it ...

What is this "auto victory"? Is it the introduction of the Honda? LOL - just kidding...

But what is it? Is it a bug?

If either side has a 4 - 1 VP ratio in its favour on any day in 1943 then the game ends in an "auto-victory" for that side. Similarly, in 1944 it's 3 - 1 and in 1945 2 - 1. Some players have gotten this playing as Japan against the AI.

I'm currently playing a tweaked Scenerio 15. (I adjusted the points for LA and Tokyo, sure hope that fixes the game for auto victory)

If I know that it's going to be pretty slow for he next month of computer gameplay I'll put the game on continous play and go to bed or work, etc. Come back and I'm a month ahead. Sure their might be some little suprises here and there that might have been prevented by my intervening. I just started this game last week and I'm up to June of 1942.

I'm up to September 1942 playing as the Allies in scenario 15 against the AI, Very Hard. I've imposed some house rules on myself to keep the game competitive, and I'm behind 15K-8K. I expect the game to go to 1944 at least. I'm averaging six or seven turns a day, so I hope to get to January 1, 1944 by the end of this calendar year.

I`m very interested if it`s possible to meet a historic timeline as the Allies and recreate the historic victory.

Up to late June '42 in the Campaign Game playing Allies against AI "Hard". Currently AI leads by 17and a half K to 7 and a Half K. I've also imposed a few historically-based "House Rules" on myself. I'd expect this one to run into at least 1944 as well. Again I'd estimate the campaign game lasting sometime early into next year.

No major bugs other the ones we all know about (strange routes followed by convoys and Allied SS using Doctrine Rule rather more inactive than I would have thought they should be - averaging a couple of usually unsuccessful attacks a week)

Nope, no major bugs for me as of 20 September 1942. I certainly will keep you posted. I have a "Quasi-Historical AAR" going, and I'll update it periodically. I do hope and expect to go til at least 1944, preferably 1945.
