how to transfer

I've flown a zillion fighter missions, and the ranking section sent a message that said I could transfer. How do you do that?

Go to the forces page, click the unit or individual ship you want to transfer to and press transfer.

I went there first. I guess no one wants me because the "transfer" button is always greyed out.

Hi Neill,

Deathifier's description of the transfer procedure is accurate, and has always worked for me. If you have the rank of Lt Cmdr, you should be able to transfer to any ship in a Destroyer Squadron. In the first half of Operation Highland, that would be the 60th DESRON, including the destroyers Gerrond and Radix, and the frigates Rainier and Tanner. Later on you will get access to the 44rd DESRON including the Shadow, Necromancer, Belfast, and Canton.

If you continue to have trouble with the transfer, please

1. Take a screenshot showing the Forces screen with the ship or group you wish to command highlighted
2. Send the screenshot and your savegame file to me (milo@starshatter.com)

Duh, I finally got it! I had just been clicking on the name, and when it turned yellow, clicked on the lower list. I finally saw there was a tiny + there, and clicked on it, and was able to "drill down".
