Yep it's a Goose. I flew in one a lot last summer up in Bristol Bay, Alaska (just a passenger, I was a fishing guide in that area)
I remember talking to the pilot about the Goose and he said that there were only 5-6 still in operation in Alaska and that the FAA was doing all they could to ground them for good.
I've flown in just about every float plane you can find in Alaska and non can compare to the incredible amount of take off power these have, well maybe a twin turbin Otter empty
Freshwater Adventures was the name of the company ops out of Dllingham, Ak

Goose I or IA, Widgeon, or Gosling... depending which branch of service it was with. The Gosling/Widgeon were the FAA names but I can't see any RN markings on there so i'm going with Goose too.

The Widgeon was a smaller version of the Goose. The next step up from the Goose was the Mallard, and even the still larger Albatross, which also served in the US Navy and Coast Guard
Just like the Beaver being smaller than the Otter
