Most Satisfying Experiences

I've been wargaming for over 25 years and I must say that WitP affords the greatest sense of satisfaction when things go right. My top 3 'satisfying moments' in wargaming:

1) Pulling off a successful combined paradrop/amphib landing in a WiF campaign game at La Rochelle in the summer of 1942 with a mixed British/American force that destroyed 2 German corps, isolated the whole Brittany peninsula (4 enemy corps), and turned the tide of the whole game. My opponent watched with open-mouthed consternation as the game dribbled away from him in a single brilliant moment. Very nice. [8D]

2) Sinking the CV Lexington off French Frigate Shoals in 12/9 in the beginning of a serious Scenario 15 PBEM of WitP. It's January and I'm STILL reliving the moment. [:D]

3) Winning an ASL game ont he last turn - the classic Russian front excenario where you have to hold the ridge above the supply road - I forget the name of it. Hill 651? Anyway, one of my German squads retook the objective on the last turn of an intense, all-night game back in 1980. [:)]

Would you agree that WitP offers the most potential for such moments?

What are your best moments?

WitP has definately such moments. My most satisfying Moment was the confirmed Sunk of a British Carrier. Till then I thought they're indistructable. It took 12 Torps and over 20 Bomb Hits in 3 days of action. And not to forget when you play around with production and the outcommings of your action is what you actually have planned..
