Transfering Airgroups....How to merge?

OK I have been wondering about all those airgroups I have transferred from PH. Many are still left behind. Once repaired will these fragmented groups return to their original squadrons? I thought I read somewhere in the manual that these formations once servicable will automatically join with the parent squadrons. Just not seeeing this though. Any specific requirements necessary for this to happen?
OR is it necessary for me to house keep and forward the fragmented units manually to their parent group?

They will recombine. I think there is a requirement that they are within one or two jumps of each other but they do recombine once repaired.

Also, if you see that a few of them are repaired and ready (and they're badly needed) you can always do another transfer and the ones that are fixed will oblige. [:)]

well, i doubt if all transferd AG recombine automaticly.

i had some NELLS in takao (AG of 24 ready and 3 in repair planes) and transferd them to rangoon.

the 24 ready NELLS were in rangoon but the 3 remaining NELLS in takao still there until i transferd them to rangoon to the rest of their unit. so, although the 3 remaining NELLS were ready after 2-3 turns, they were not transferd to rangoon automaticly.

dont know if thats a bug or so.

bye

Depending on the range between the bases, you may have to join them yourself. If they meet the range and can find a path, they will join the turn *after* becoming ready.
