I'm working thru the tutorial and can't find rhe ILS hoops when landing. Are they within the Archon or what?

From what I've gathered, cycling through the HUD modes with the H-key may help. - Unless you forgot to ask for landing clearance

Serious damage can take your computers offline, but that shouldn't be a problem in the tutorial. Anyway, ILS mode helps you line up for landing but its not required.

Make sure you have reqested landing clearance. This should switch your HUD to ILS mode (instrument landing system), as opposed to NAV or whatever. Of course you can also use the H key for this to switch manually.

The hoops will extend out behind the Archon, from the docking bays. They can sometimes be a bit hard to see. Try to cycle through different HUD colours (Shift+H) if they are hard to spot.

Thanks guys, I did ask for ILS. I'll try different HUD modes.

But don't do like I did on my first ils landing, and fly into the carrier upside down (didn't know which way was up after a while).
