A few questions

Is their any Railway cars you can place on the Railway tracks, Like boxcars or Railway guns?

If not could you include some in a patch, like they would not have to move or anything. It would be just nice to attack a train or use a Big railway gun, something that may only shut like once every 9 turns or more.

Just an idea, would be nice to see do.

Nope, railways are there, but there are no trains. I suppose you can construct a static "railway gun", in the editor but it would essentially just be an emplcement as its minimul range would likely preclusde it shooting at anything on the map!

Armored trains would be cool though. At least on the Eastern front, they were used fairly extensively.

Perhaps overlooked is the effect on cover that the Railway roadbed provides. Typical Roadbeds are made up of cutting and filling to provide as little change in gradient as possible.

This would result in either an embankment or a hole, both of which can provide cover. Embankments give tankers the advantage a hull down position provides.

No, the rail ways are aestetic in nature mostly. You can combine terrain types to get the effect you are after.

Many of the terrain effects are "abstract". Since "hexside" terrain could not be added, the new terrain adds various degrees of protection and movement restrictions.

Hull down is still fairly abstract in the game, with a benefit given if you are stationary or dug-in in certain terrain types.

We have added to the terrain variety, but are still fairly limited in how terrain can be represented given the way the map is defined.
