got a 2800$ projector for 1100 through the school.. my good.. all I have to say is nothing is more important then buying one of these RIGHT NOW!

its on an 8ft screen.. and holy god.. I made the room totaly dark, then loaded up the b5 mod.. the omega couldnt possible be any bigger, and when it fires the whole room goes red...

and dont get me started on doom 3 lol

Yea my friend has one and we play SSB on it all the time (mmm....3 ft high kirby) but we watch movies all the time too. Couple that with surround sound...Helms Deep is freakin' amazing!!

Anyway, yea, we've yet to play anything more exciting than HoMM3 on the projector...i'll have to remedy that come winter break.

well nice, sadly the hours of fun with such an projector r very limeted by the burning duration of the bulb(dont know the right word in english)
... very expensive over time since these 'blubs' often cost more than a half of the whole device[8|]

got a nice case of 4,

and they are only 500 or so , from what I understand, the school has 2 of these, and has used them for over 5 years of classes, ever day, and have yet to burn out the bulb

besides, who buys these if they cant afford to buy bulbs lol

As I understand, the thing that makes them burn out really fast is if you turn them off and dont wait before moving it. The bulb gets really hot and doesnt like to be moved until it's cooled down.

Whats the Max res?
I connected one up to my computer years ago, I was rather disapointed though,
the max res was only 800x600 and I could not get the colour right.

1024x768 is what I run at, it can go higher I think

its really insane, it has this awsome focus ability, I have it fulling up a screen that is oh.... 8 ft by 8 ft min.. it could go more, but there is a damn ceiling in the way lol

I have noticed it seems to play a bit slower, I dont know it thats cause its using the second monitor port or something else.

might be a good idea.. I sitll have about 10-15 ships I can to ge tconverted this week hopefully.. then spend the weekend testing/packing/testing/getting ready to have hosted
