I am interested in seeing published on these forums the formulas used to calculate AA, ASW and AS from the appropriate devices listed in the database editor. Obviously the game does it for a unit or ship and displays the result, but it should be possible for us to calculate the values as well. This will aid scenerio development and fine tuning of OOB's TOE's etc. Thanks in advance. [&o]

All ASW rating is, is the number of depth charge racks all ships in TF have. Not sure how the AA number is reached and not sure what AS is?

Thanks. AS is the assault strength of a land combat unit.

To get AA value add (the weapons effect value) all AA guns and DP Guns.

ASW is the number of DC racks + number of headgehog, mousetrap etc. . . .

Example: A USN Sub Chaser (Classes slot # 318) has 1 x 40mm Bofors AA Gun (1 x 20) + 3 x 20mm Oerlikon AA Gun (3 x 15) has a AA value of 65. Its ASW value is 6 = 2 x Mousetrap Mk 20 + 4 x Mk 6 Depth Charge.

AS is the number of Infantry/Cavalry/Airborne (device type 23) squads + Armored Fighting Vehicles (device type 22).

I think you need to divide the above number by 2.

BTW, all AA and ASW ratings, classes, devices etc are in the ships list for scen 15 that Spooky was kind to post for me a few days ago.
