Check the matrix store, they have money order and other non-cc methods of payment.
Welcome back, BTW!

Check the 'international' section, you might be able to.

so much for that idea. everything other than a cc has to be drawn in us dollars from a us bank.

That stinks. Would paypal or some similar thing work? (If you dont know Paypal is a service that lets you 'use' a credit card online except that its just an account you have to fill up/pay off)
Though looking at the site (
paypal site) really quick it doesnt look like there's a New Zealand version.
[EDIT:] Wait, I lied...

yea, the catch is that you have to have a Credit Card to use it anyway, so theres not much point.
you CAN put money into a paypal acc without a Credit Card but its the same - has to be an american bank.
catch 22
becides I have heard a few storys about paypal...

Why don't you go to your bank and get an international money order made out in US funds?I've done a few times with no hassles

The answer ...
PRE PAID CREDIT CARDS... GET A 5O EURO or $ one and you are good to go.
I plan on, once money becomes less tight.
