Political Points disappear

It seems as though the program might be busily deducting political points when it puts these weird commanders in. It is September 43 in the 42A campaign and I have run completely out of political points.
I must confess this is kind of the last straw. The amphibious warfare model just plain sucks. The effect of so-called coastal defense artillery renders this most important aspect of the Pacific War utterly ridiculous. The myriad of bugs and poor design aspects render this game virtually unplayable at this point. Sad, very sad.
