Please remove all sounds of bullets ricocheting

Please remove all calls for stretcher bearer

Stereo sound – when there is an action in the top left of the map the sound comes out of that speaker.

German and allied weapon sounds different – so you know who is currently firing.

Rifle sounds need to be sharp

MG sounds deep.

Explosions need to have a ground shaking KRUMP !

Different types of explosions have unique sounds to make them easily identifiable

An attack by aircraft have that "WW2 aircraft zooming" sound as they fly overhead

These are great ideas.

I'd also like different sounding message alerts - air strike different from "securing the objective" "Unit routing" different from "completing bombardment," etc.

Something akin to what Close Combat had would be good.

Ecellent !

All agreed.

It was once suggested to have graphic animations for those. But a proper sound design would produce the correct immersion factor.

Stuka diving sirens anyone ?

Forgot to add : there is already a sound mod for HTTR. See the download section of worldwarhq

I didn't try it yet, though. Maybe its author will dare giving a few coments.

Great ideas about the sounds. I find sound effects really help with immersion in these games, more so than graphics. Also to hear different explosions for different kinds of shell would be superb. I would buy this game straight away if it had sound effects like this rather than wait for BotB. I know it may sound (get the pun) silly but thats how much I rate good sound effects. Think of a horror movie without sound effects/music it just wouldnt have any tension or be scary.

FYI, it's not really a realism sound mod. The idea was immersion. Most of the sounds where taken from CC2-4, EYSA, HOI and a few from the internet. I like it and still use it. If you try it remember to back up the original in case you want to go back.
