Just wondering of those that do the art mods for a/c, how they get the a/c itself on the sky image background as well as scale the a/c to the right size without skewing it? I've found several images of different a/c & wan't to update the planeside art file. I've tried Paint & can't cut the a/c out to paste on the sky unless I'm missing something nor sometimes getting the size right w/o skewing the image. Any help appreciated.

My guess is that they are using a sophisticated editing program like Adobe Photoshop or one of it's ilk. Not to difficult to separate an image from it's background there and then just put it on an transparent layer above a blank cloud background. Program does have a bit of a steep learning curve tho.

Didn't think about Photoshop, had Paint & some other MS product on PC already but couldn't ever get background to work right nor nimble enough to cut out plane itself then paste over clouds. Might give a look, thanks.

If you don't can't/want to spend the money on PhotoShop or PaintShop Pro...try Gimp for a fraction of the cost.

Hello JC , I use MS paint for what i've done . It's pretty simplistic but you can do alot with it . For altering the plane side views under images uncheck " draw opaque " . That will allow you to overlay the plane side view onto the clouds . For UV i did a zero , val and kate from scratch using paint and photo express . They're not bad but i still think they could be better . It was a very tedious process as to see how they looked in the game i had to run a turn to see the jtop , jtop_alpha and clouds all together . I'd like to do some others but it just takes too long having to do it that way . I still think rowlf's satellite maps for UV are the greatest . Regards ... McDuck

I'll give that a try as I didn't think about that, tried some others but just didn't see that about the opaque.
