i saw the intro to viva la bam yesterday and one of the guys last names was Dicamillo, since Dicamillo isnt that common a name i figured him and milo were probably related. Are they brothers or something? Also, i wanna make a custom campain thats not dianamic, you know like 15 or 16 scripted missions that you play in order where you have to beat one befor you play the next and so on. Is it possible to make a campain like that.

after rethinking my idea i realized that i would take about 50 (or more)scripted missions to complete a good story, still can i make a campain like this?

ya

its just a lot of work
once you get the hang of it its not really bad, the editor is really good, it still lacks a lot of the functions the fred2 editor from freespace2 can give, but Intend to bug milo into adding extra features slowly:)

if you need help just post here

thanks man,
your right it will be a good deal of work but i firgure it'll be kinda cool having a part in the starshatter community and since i lack the modling talkent that people like you have, i cant make a complete mod with tons of stuff so i decided to make a campain of scripted missions and a story instead.

oh yea dont you think you should change the link in your signiture to the url for your new site?

Freespace -> great for scripted missions (you can do campaign branches as well).

Starshatter-> great for physics, nice stars and backgrounds, and plantetary entry/exit, needs better mission editor.

it will get one:)

if milo does not have the time(we ARE loading him down with tons of addons for graphics and such) then I WILL build one using vb.net.. the only problem I can see if working out a co-ordinate system that is the same as the game uses.. and I can solve that but a few tricks I think, the rest is really simple error checking and such.. then just working out the format

its certainly in my level of programming.

i just need a list of every possible parameter and setting for a mission file
