Could someone explain the active_efficiency and passive_efficiency settings for me? Are they absolute ranges for a ship's sensors?

from what I can tell ya, I tryed to make it so they would be fuzzy and what not, but I couldnt

basically if its in sensor range you lock it, passive is used when your main sensors of offline I Belive

Yeah, I'm having the same results. It would really be nice to have a "shadowy" area at the edge of sensor range, but I sure can't figure it out...
