Historical battles and how they would be represented in EIA...

First off, I have only played this game 2-3 times and that was years ago (difficult to find the players/time/space) If I make any incorrect statements, etc, please bear with me.
I was always amused by the matrix for the CRT. Everyone picks their chit and then cross indexs the resultant columns, which lends itself toward the "analysis"; "Ack, this doesn't look good for our side today!", much like the debate going on in the Commit the Guard thread. I was thinking of what would have happened in history if EIA combat was like real life. It might go something like this.................
The Lines of the Torres Verdes...Marmont I believe was commanding..or was it Massena? Anyhow...
Aide - "General, it is wise to stay here to besiege the British/Portuguese with no depot near?"
General M - "Yes, this is a forage 3 space. I am willing to take the risk."
Later on, walking down the road to Madrid...
Aide - "You know, I have never seen ANYONE roll so MANY sixes in my life...."
Gen. M - "Shaddup."
Or, there is Borodino, of course.....
Napoleon - "No! I shall not commit the Guard! They are my last reserve! We are 1000 miles inside Russia!"
Berthier - "But Sire! Our analysis of the combat so far indicates that a Level 2 commitment of the Imperial Guard will GUARANTEE that the Russians will break! And with our current Cavalry superiority, we should achieve TOTAL victory! Worth at least 12 PP!"
Napoleon - "Oh? Really? Well, when you put it that way....COMMIT THE GUARD!!"
Last one ----- take any of times that Napoleon divided his forces to fight the enemy, usually Davout, as I recall...
Austerlitz 1805
Berthier - "Sire, isn't it a bit dangerous, what you intend to do here?"
Napoleon - "For a normal commander, it might be; but, with my strategic rating and the stupid chit pull by Charles, we have them now! I am a '5' leader! Davout and his troops will automatically arrive in round 2 and we will crush them on the 5-1 chart! I am brilliant!
Please, feel free to come up with some others....
