Man there's something wrong here - I ordered May 22 and other than the immediate confirmation email, have heard nothing.

Don't feel bad, Don. I ordered April 26 and am still being "processed".

I don't know about you, but where I come from, that term meant a couple of things.

Well, I would rather think better of Matrix. They will get around to us soon - I hope.

I ordered on April 27th and am still being "processed" as well. What gives? I thought people who pre-ordered were supposed to be given priority.

Yea, I ordered in April too then had to cancel the whole thing and re-do it. What concerns me is not getting one of these emails I've heard about. I also have no idea where you guys are checking where it says your being "processed". I checked my confirmation email and it has a link that just has "shipping date" blank.

Don I'm only a 100 or so miles north of you so I figure we won't see it for at leasta week after shipping.

I'm starting to get the feeling that maybe I shouldn't have pre-ordered. By the way, when did pre-ordering start and stop anyway. It seems to me, any order placed beore the game ships should be a pre-order. However, I ordered on April 27 and was charged the full $25.
It doesn't seem right I tell ya . . .

First off, I'd like to say thank you again Matrix for an exellent FREE product that we have been playing. I know how difficult it is getting a new venture off the ground. It is impossible to forsee every problem that arises in the day to day even minute to minute process. I do not know how large your staff is, but there never seems to be enough people available when they are needed the most. This is the first time that I have ever recieved confirmation that aproduct that I had ordered was shipped. Normally the first I know about it is when I come home and it is waiting for me at the door, or in my mailbox.

It is my understanding that Matrix has had to change suppliers, or shipping companies in mid-stream. This is not always an easy task. I have had to pick up where someone has done an inadequate job, and have had to deal with the headaches that were left for someone else. I do not remember the date that I ordered the MC, but it was within an hour or three of it becoming available. I think I was one of the lucky ones who got online before the masses were awake to jam the lines. I do not feek that this is why my order was shipped before someone elses. The company that inherited the shipping contract, had to deal with the mess left behind by the old company, and therefor, the delay in shipping and, getting a notice.

I think that in a day or two, all orders will be processed. I can't wait to see the next MC, and Combat Leader. I would pre order now if I could, even if it meant waiting six months to get it.

I preordered very early and got notified of shipment with delivery on 21 June. In fact, there was never any confusion with my order, just the big delay.

Will we all have been waiting and I for one apreciate the up front way this has been handled my Matrix. I orderd the MC on 3/29/01 so it has been some time and my status is still processing however I've been able to play with the 5.1 vers for sometime and it may be this will allow me to play the MC with some hope of winning.

For all those who pre ordered their Mega campaign cd mega early, I hope you have learned a valuable lesson out of this.

Matrix is not Sony nor is it IBM, Microsoft, Sega, Playstation or a host of other mega companies. They are just humble ole Matrix (and offering you a game that commercially would rate a nice price tag at that, but for free)
Any individual that blithefully ordered Mega Campaign faithfully, and actually expected Matrix to be able to produce, manufacture, advertise and ship as if this was just another venture, is just plain gullible (or perhaps to be more kind, a bit to willing to think Matrix could).

For all those waiting to play 5.01, and not doing so "because they pre-ordered the cd, and dont need to", well I guess you are a bit wiser now.

Matrix isnt selling 5.01 if you hadnt had that made painfully obvious by now. Its only a fluke you will ever see Steel Panthers WAW on a cd. Remember they are not able to "sell" Steel Panthers, just Mega Campaign.

If you want Steel Panthers 5.01, its a stupidly simple, easy to accomplish download. For all of those without a fast download speed, you have 3 choices.
1. get a faster download speed
2. get someone with a burner who likely will have a fast download speed to make you a disk
(it boggles me that so many complain, when doing this is so damned obviously simple. I have several Steel Panthers cds hanging around now because of this option).
3. tell your friends not to try phoning you for a while and just accept that your phone will be busy for a bit.

Sheeesh I had to download with a normal connection when I first got Steel Panthers back at 4.1. Took me almost 3 solid days non stop no use of the phone at all.
Was that a problem....NO!! not in the slightest. I told people that they would not be able to phone me in a mass announcement and then began downloading.
Buying a comparable game on the shelf for 50 bucks is a problem. Losing your phone for a few days is just a need for plannning ahead.

Listening to all the whining of impatient, but not so brilliant fans of Steel Panthers, is like listening to the nagging of the atypical little sister.

Considering all factors, Matrix has done a magnificient job when you include the many hassles they have dealt with, all simultaneously during the period of their first release to the market of Mega Campaign. I am positive their next effort will be substantially smoother. I would suggest to them to not offer pre-order in the future though. It just forces them to deal with unrealistic expectations.
