Just wanted to share a product that would be well received on this forum. I have been a fan of 21st Century toys ever since I picked up my 1:18 scale Bf-109E. I currently own the F4U Corsair, and their latest beauty the Dora in JV 44 colors.

This company is doing god's work as far as I am concerned, we need to support them! Tell them the Elf sent you. Maybe Santa will bring you a cool Xmas treat.

PS: More seriously, I've been dreaming about Nichimo kit of Yamato on 1/200 for a few years. The $500 cost and several months of work are kind of a barrier, though...

I built a 1/500 (I think) Iowa. But I'm too much "thumbs" to make it look that good. Still gratifying though to see it standing there. [:)]

Then after investing all those hours building it you have to construct some sort of dustproof/petproof/childproof drydock for it. [:D]

These things are a no brainer. Attach wings. Attach stabs, lower gear. Display. [8D]

Its not 500 dollars, and its not a great looking kit, but I'd like a 1/144 Swampworks R/C HMS Invincible. Of Course, I could always go for the 1/144 USS North Carolina.

And here I thot you were going to be talking about Fig Newtons.

I have the P-51D that is apparently no longer available. I also have a JU-87G that is also not available anymore, hmm I woudl think both woudl be big sellers. I now Need a P-47. The only problem I have found with them is that re-painting them can be a challenge. They use high quality materials and colors. they are difficult to re-paint.

I didn't realize the P-51D wasn't available anymore. Explains why I never saw it. I have noticed though that since I got my first Airplane, the 109E the detail and realism of the newer aircraft has increased dramatically. I'm hoping to see some new designs in the near future. Perhaps a George or a Tony. Some twin engine Aircraft would be cool, but big.

Why would you want to repaint them? They come in so many different schemes as it is. Are you talking about further detailing or completely new Paint jobs?

Just out of curiosity. Of the people who hit this post how many had seen these 1:18 scale models before? How many of you would be interested in having one?

I've seen them and used to own a few before having to move all over the world with the military. Went to board games and now computer games to get my fix now!

I think 1:1 Yamato would be pretty cool. Would probably take some time to construct though.

Have you seen my collection of ship models representing all currently commissioned ships of the U.S. Navy? They're all actual size. I keep it at various locations around the world...

I've recently started collecting 1:1250 ship models (I guess that's a symptom of playing too much WitP [:)]), and find that quite addictive. The small scale definitely has the advantage that you can store lots of them in little space. If I continue at the current pace I should have the IJN complete in a few months [:D]
