I am playing against the AI. A few months ago, I disbanded six or seven B-17 squadrons. At the time, all my B-17 squadrons had been depleted down to 2-3 planes per, and even with 99 morale and no fatigue, they were not flying missions (I'm guessing - if the squadron falls below a certain number of aircraft, they don't pass the % muster to fly missions). They were all returned to my ORBAT recently, with no planes and no pilots. Now, as the pool releases replacement planes, they each suck one up, so I now have several 1 plane squadrons and I am not getting replacements in my squadrons in combat. [:@]

The question - do I just put up with them or do I disband them again or just leave them alone? All they seem to do is suck up assets (supply, support and airplanes).[&:]

Disband them again - maybe leave one or two of them - and make sure you use B17 only for Naval or ASW search mission to conserve them for future use and to train up the crew . They'll need high morale and experience to survive combats with jap fighters and to have less OP-losses at high-range missions .
Units with the lowest numbers of planes get replacement planes first .
