What good is Denver?

Playing as the Allies, I see there plenty of supplies, etc at Denver. What good are these? Will they magically move to San Francisco or one of the other port cities? Do I need to move them manually? If so, how?

I hear they've got a pretty good football team, and they're really tough at home... [;)]
Supplies will stack up at Denver, because of the auto-movement of supply via the rail net. If you can move it out, great, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's like shoveling water back up, at the base of waterfall. The only way I can really think to move it out, would be airlift. But that ties up squadrons that are more useful airlifting to bases that really -do- need supplies (like in China for example).

Anyway, if you take out the supply from San Francisco to Pearl Harbour, I suppose Denver will send it's supplies to San Francisco, so it functions as a reserve ?

It's amazing to me how both LA and SF get new supplies each turn (and new fuel) and then on top of that you get a ton more from your inland base (I always thought it was Cheyenne as the highway to SF goes through there). Yes, send supplies to Pearl, send them to Alaska, send them to Brisbane, I find as the Allies I'm running out of freighters on the US west coast well before I run out of supplies. I just sent a massive 50 ship convoy of AK's from Karachi to SF (going below Australia) just to try and meet the demand (and the Brits have too many freighters anyhow).
