I try to drop japanese paratroopers from Rangoon to a place in India where I can seize an airport. I use my Tina squadron, the one wwith best range. But the paras refuse to drop. They only accept if I target a friendly base. Did someone succeed in dropping paratroops on an enemy airfield ? How do you do this ?

select enemy base as you would a friendly.. use lots of transports or face you para being hit piecemeal though

Is the enemy base occupied be enemy aircraft? If he's flying CAP or LRCAP over your target, it's probably auto-aborting. Try sending fighter sweeps over the base on the turn that your transports go, to clear the way for your transports.

Note that it is NOT necessary to ESCORT transports. Air Tran/Drop phase is after all the normal mission phases, so escorts don't actually launch with Air Tran/Drop missions.
