MILO- PLEASE READ

In the spirit of you recreating the engine, I would like you to please please find a way to get a much more open-ended, less linear mission(s) or campaign.
I'd like ot see the ability to refuel/repair (capital) ships at space stations/starbases, for one. I would also like to see the ability to incode/include several cycling missions inside one open-ended one, for the purpose of running a 'persistant' world.
Is this something you are willing to do? I believe it would do the game much justice, and potentially attract new players. I was understanding that this was possible, as the reason I purchased the game. Since it isn't, I would really like to see it a reality; I have several people who like the idea also.
Please consider this- it wouldnt change anything, but just allow those of us with that desire that opportunity. This means the absolute world to me. Thanks again-

... specially for campaigns, as on all stock campaigns, ships can't be repaired.
Indeed it would be a great plus if repairs could be done, even add spacedocks, so hulls can be repaired, as all internal damage is automatically repaired by the ship's crew.

While someone's on the subject, I was curious as to how difficult it would be to add support for modified sounds. It would really help, not every craft should sound alike.
