Can decoys be spawned by missiles?

Don't currently have SS to test it out, was just curious. Thought it'd be cool to have stuff like a flack gun that explodes at a high range from the target and spawns a bunch of decoys, causing missiles fired by that target to turn early.

Also, while we're on the topic of defensive systems, what's the feasibility of a weapon that, when activated, spews clouds of little non-accelerating, non-damaging missiles, thus forcing enemy lasers to shoot through these objects before they get to you?

Try posting on www.starshattercentral.com on the mod forum for support as we already have some mods for downloads and perhaps someone there knows the answer to your questions.
