Gentlemen,

I want to buy your beatiful game but first I like to know, if is possible, which are the features of the editor? What can I change? Which is the max dimension of a map? Can I change the charateristics of the units? ecc.

You're free to create you own scenarios or modify existing ones. You can change basically everything. From timelimits, order of battle, change/edit units (from training, morale fitness to the amount of weapons, ammo and leadership), weather, objectives, arrivals, reinforcments etc etc. The only thing you cannot do is design new estabs. So no russian or japanese units for example.

1100 square kilometres is about the max size of a map HttR will support. I believe COTA will support larger maps...Dave have to correct me when i'm wrong

Yeh thanks Grouchy. HTTR map size limited to around 1100 km2. COTA should increase to around 1600.
