Is it still a work in progress? Any idea when it will be available?

Far as I know, it is still a work in progress. Me and Ron are playing a Lemurs 4.0 game using his ASW fix.
Tankace is going on vacation for the holidays. I would not expect it until January at the earliest.

Don's away as well for the holidays. I think Don's editor is the master as he is much further along and usually reorganizes ships by type, so any new ones are now grouped with ships in original OOB so they are not all over the place. After he is nearly done to his satisfaction, he will email us a CD and we compare it to our sources, data, desires and work out a final product. Both Tanker and Don are good at art imaging and the ships are amazing. The variety is insane, and Don just purchased a few sources which pretty much fill in all the holes regarding Japanese and Allied merchant shipping. Every class down to the lowly coaster and tramp will be in with accurate profiles for each! (Don tends to like the detail and so do we).
The scenario will then be reworked to accomodate Andrew Brown's map mod. New units will be needed etc because of extra bases. So there will be two versions, and either will be playable as a respawning or non respawning game.
Even the major reconstructions of USN BBs are included, even though they are not conversions yet. The upgrades will disable them with system damage etc so they take much longer, and weapons will be damaged as well, so they can't be used immediately.
It would be cool if they could add a "conversion" ability for ships in the editor. This would simplify things greatly.
BTW, the ASW and PT tweaks seem to be working even better than expected. Even I (Mr. Critical) am OK with the results in our testing despite the very abstract and pro ASW nature of the official model. By this time given the number of ASW encounters we've had, Dave would have lost maybe 5-10 subs. I think he has lost 1 and has 3-4 damaged to varying degrees. I, as Allied, have lost 2 coastal jobs in shallow water and may lose a fleet boat (Saury) after she received 5 hits in deepwater by DEs which Lemurs added (very heavily asw armed).

Sounds great, I'm especially glad you will be integrating Andrew Brown's map.
This will be THE scenario to play IMHO ...

Those DE's are just re-named APD's. If you look over the stock scenario 15, some of the Japanese APD's are some of your most capable ASW ships.
Mike just re-classified them as DE's.
Oh and Saury died today.[:'(]

Keep in mind that my map mod is experimental, since I have made changes to the transport networks, added some new bases, a few new units etc. Some things might be broken. It will need a bit of testing to ensure that it works OK.

It looks like it is going to be a joy to test with all the new bases and range tweaks. Love the older mapstyle. Gonna put simulated creases in it at the map fold points?[;)]

I'm an old boardgamer so I like my map style (a bit of bias in that view as well I guess). Some people like the style and some don't. Better artists than me are free to try their hand of course.

Ron... You all do realize that you are using Lemurs scenario as the base of your new scenario and it is based on an outdated data base (1.21) There were a whole bunch of fixes and corrections to correct various issues including some leader related made in 1.3 and 1.4.
You are building a new scenario with a starting data base that is 2 versions obsolete... and may (and probably will) end up with some weird results that would not be there had you started fresh from 1.4 "Virgin" data files and made your enhancements from there. Like your post in the OOB thread about the PG Isabel, you are basing your scenario and posted comments on osolete files and about things that have alredy been fixed.
Just a friendly[;)] Warning for when the scenario starts returning more "Buggy" results

By saying Lemurs 4.0, we mean basically where he left off conceptually and incorporate many of his ideas. The main database is now a scratch one Don Bowen started using an official scen 15 1.3 as the basis. (This scenario started out as a small tweak for Lemurs and ended up being an entirely different monster). I took some of our ideas and tweaks and overlaid them quickly onto a stock Lemurs 4.0 to test them vs 2ndACR. As you said, lots of weird little anomalies showed up.
Thanks for the warning anyway, Paul.
PS. As you can see by my Isabel gaff, I only have one game going right now and it's a Lemurs 4.0. I don't want to get into a real long puppy until most of the tweaks and fixes are in and our scenario is ready to test, especially with new map mod by Andrew Brown. (BTW whenever yours is ready I'll test it voraciously via PBEM with ya. It sounds soooo excellent)

I posted this in the 1.4 OOB thread also.
In British Fleet and Escort Destroyers, Vol. 1 (H T Lenton), the old S class DDs Thracian and Stronghold indicate that they were converted to minelayers in 38/39. Should these be a new class of DMs or did they convert back in 42 for escort work?

Excellent Point. I believe the
Thracian was retained at Hong Kong speficially to close some gaps in the pre-war minefield. I'm away from my library right now but I'll check after Christmas.

Oh Yes - detail! This is a sample from an World War II ONI publication, now available on CD. This group (and many similar vessels) will be part of the scenario as the
Kawasaki Stock Boat as they were built to a design of the Kawasaki yard (around the end of World War I).

And now that Mike (Lemurs!) is back, this should end up being one hell of a kick bum scenario.

Pry, my scenario was updated for 1.3 and my fixes db wise were more comprehensive then Matrix will ever do AND my work will not interfere with the EXE file changes in later patches.
If someone out there really likes my FIRST creation they could play that with 1.4 with no problems!

Notice all that wonderful detail - maximum and economical speed, endurance, fuel (not sure how to handle coal yet). I'm leaning toward a direct correspondence between GRT and WITP capacity - which would make these 5800 or 5900.
A similar class:

Don, these CDs of yours are gonna make for great graphics as well. All those different merchant classes, all with their own historical sillouettes. MMMmmmmmmmmmm...sillouettes.
