In looking over anticipated aircraft production and the necessary engine types "x" needed I have noticed that engine production of a particular brand "y" does not appear to be needed. If I reduce production of engine type "y" to zero what will happen in subsequent turns? Should I see production of engine type "x" increase with the additional available capacity?

Production of a particular type of engine will increase only if you:

• expand one or more factories now producing that type, or
• convert one or more factories producing some other type to that type.

In either case any increase will be delayed as the new factories will be damaged and will take time (and 1000 supply per point!) to repair.
