Injuries? Injuries!

This is one area which I haven't seen mentioned in the FAQ, or any of the advertising, but is a huge part of football (even for single-season or single-game mode).

1. Are in-game injuries included? Can the user set the frequency and recovery rates?
2. Do any injuries have permanent effects (ie stat reduction)
3. What types of injuries and severities are included?
4. Is there randomness in the recovery (ie setbacks, unknown duration)
5. Is there an injured reserve to free up slots to add free agents?

AS someone who had both Steve Smith and Charles Rodgers in my fantasy leauge, I understand how critical injuries can be even for a strategic football game.

Cheers and looking for info.

1. Are in-game injuries included? Can the user set the frequency and recovery rates? Injuries are rare (quick play games injuries can be not used at all). Recovery rates depend on the players endurance skill attribute.

2. Do any injuries have permanent effects (ie stat reduction). The only really permanent effect is a career ender. But permanent skill attribute effect might be a good idea when the full career mode is built.

3. What types of injuries and severities are included? Various from broken finger to ACL.
4. Is there randomness in the recovery (ie setbacks, unknown duration) That's not yet added.
5. Is there an injured reserve to free up slots to add free agents? there is a free agent draft pool you can dip into to fill up injured spots.

When you say injuries are rare, is that in general, or when compared to the injury rate in the NFL /CFL / AFL?

My apologies for not being clearer on the injured reseve. Can you designate a player as being on IR and keep him on your team (this is for user-updated seasons) without counting as an active player for roster limits. I think there is an upper limit on IR'ss in the NFL but I'm not sure.

I'm really looking forward to this, as I'm a little annoyed by the twitch and click crowd beating my superior roster management and play calling [:'(]

Cheers and Happy New year
