Demo Error - Black Stuff!

I was looking at this game so I downloaded the demo. Upon playing it all I could see was this black area and these red dots moving around with a red line behind them. Also, no HUD was present. Stuff like that. Can somebody tell me how to fix this?[&:]

sounds like you are in nav mode, hit F1 and see if that does anything.
if I am wrong and it is a graphics problem then check you have the latest vidio drivers etc etc etc.

But then the hud would still work wouldn't it?

Uhh, try hitting H a few times in case the HUD was toggled off by accident?
