and overwrite.

Help... SP OOB Impaired
Can you please give me a step by step run down of how to get these units active.
*I have downloaded the M6 file.
*I have unzipped the file.
*I have the following:
#46-Tortoise icon0008.shp
#352-Black Prince-icon0060.shp
#357-M6 Heavy Tank-icon0062.shp
A Text file
Oob90
Oob82
Where do these go?
How do I make them available within the game?
(editor steps maybe needed)
Thanks

Okay you put the shps in the shp folder. It is in your spwaw folder. You put the oob files in the main spwaw folder direct, and it should replace the existing ones. Let me know if this was detailed enough.

OK so far so good.
Now...
Could you explain to the class how to:
Create a "formation" in the editor?
I tried creating a formation in the ANZAC formation section. Here's my attempt. I used an open slot to create a Tortoise formation. Made a platoon, armor, correct years of service. It will not show in unit purchase screen when I go to build a battle?

Theoretically speaking what would be the approximate dates *IF* these tanks were ever put in service during the war?

The M6 was slated for service by Aug.42. I am not knowledgeable on the others. Ask Warhorse.

Hi,
Does this OOB modifacation just add these units to what allready exsists or do other units suffer by being removed from the OOB's?

This oob is a replacement for the current oobs. It is identical except for the added units.

Sorry for the delay, folks...I only got home now...
I installed the files and found that you have to manually (via the OOB Editor) create the formations. However, I only managed to succeeded with the M6. With the Tortoise and the Black Prince, while I created new formations in the ANZAC OOB, they just don't show!
Going to ask Warhorse... I will ask him to post his answer here, if possible.

Fabio they were intended as designer units. I do not think War, Wild Bill, or myself ever thought of putting them in the unit list as a 'general' item. Let me know what warhorse says.

Hello All.
If you are using the editor that came with SPW@W, then you need to copy an existing formation simmiar to whay you want to create, and past this formation into an empty slot.
Then alter the relevent portions of the new formation.
I have found that when using this editor, that new formations created from scratch, do not show up on the purchace screen. I've no idea why!

These units were just fun things I made up, when I still had some free time!! I only released them recently, because Sven expressed interest, as well as Wild Bill, but only to the public, because I let slip of their existence

The M6 was early '42, The Tortoise and Black Prince I will need to check at home, I just use them for upgrades for campaigns, or private scenario design, they shouldn't be made common purchase. Shps go in shp folder, and oob's go in the main. The txt file is just for anyone interested as to the location in the shp directory! I think the Neubefahrzeug also is in the shp directory somewhere, I made an icon for that also, and is in my private install, but will have to look into that. also using that would mess up your oob's, as I took out fortifications to put that, and some other units in.

Ok,everybody!
I managed to get them all to show up!
If you haven't already figured it by yourself, just go to
THE ARMOR SITE's SPWAW DOWNLOAD PAGE and
download the update again. The ANZAC now will display the Black Prince and Toroise and the US the M6 Heavy Tank.
NOTE: you will find the new formations in the ANZAC and US "buy screen" in
DECEMBER 1949.
Happy Fourth of July!
Have FUN!
