Hi !
In the game process I encountered the ''granatgomb'' expression. What means ? An error ? Granatbomb is most probably, isn't it ?
Leo.

Gavris what exactly was happening when this insiduous 'granatgomb' occured? If you provide details I shall dillegently pursue the miscreant phrase. Remember...We are all in this together!

I believe this is a hand grenade; not sure which language granatebomb (sp?) is from though.

That is what I figured. I am trying to get Gavris to leave more detailed data when he graces us with a query. Thanks for the info.

Well, we never covered 'granatebomb' in my 10th grade conversational German class. The teacher only went as far as assault guns: (teacher) "Has du mein Brummbaer?"
(kids reciting in unison) "Nein ich laube dein Brummbaer nicht"
Forgive the spelling; it was over 20 years ago.

Unable to find the 'granateg(b)omb' in any German dictionary...
Translation of some others:
Gewehrgranate: Rifle grenade
Panzerhandgranate: Tank Hand Grenade
Panzerwurfmine: Tank Throw Mine
Granatewerfer: Grenade Thrower (read Mortar)

My German shouldn't be the worst and I never heard of a "GRANATGOMB" (it sounds pretty weird - and funny to me)

*That's* where I saw that word before: the Thunder at Banya Pass scenario. Hungarians vs Soviets.

Yeah, I think the first runner-up, which would have to fufil the duties of the winner if the winner is unable to wear the crown, would be "Small Arms armor penetration".

Easy, turbo. Obviously, English is not his first language. As someone who's had to explain military concepts in Russian, Finnish and German (not at the same time thank God) I empathize with him.
Garvis, keep right on posting your questions, God bless ya...

Hey I was not slamming him. It can take a while to answer Gavris. Language barrier or no he could learn to leave more data.
Running in to the room and asking the most general questions I have ever seen can make figuring out how to answer a chore. I don't mind a bit though. We are all here to help(I hope).
