I can't believe this! I was just about to to beat the Granicus mission, I was about to finish off Memnon's final troops, so I press escape to check save my game... and the game FREEZES.

WHY?!?!?!?!?!

My autosaves for some reason take me to the troop placement screen. One solid hour of fighting Memnon, I was winning for once... and all gone... [:(]

Sorry about the frustration. If you are able to send in your most recent log file along with a DxDiag file, we can take a look and see if we can help. (The log files are located under the program directory in a subdirectory called Log, and the DxDiag file instructions are pinned to the top this forum.)

Well, this "frustration" turned out to be a good thing after all. I went back and played Granicus again... this time I SMOKED Memnon and got a Major victory worth 595 points. Oddly enough... I didn't really get all that ticked off with this, I just got happy again as soon as I started playing. [:D]

I have to hand it to you guys, this game is amazing, I've played Thebes at least 5 times now with the demo before I bought it, Granicus 3 times, and neither has shown signs of getting tedious.

As for the logs, I'll send them if it happens to me again. It could just have been the fact that I realized (after the game froze) that it was open twice... thats why my autosave files were messed up too. So I think the freeze was on behalf of my stupidity. Oh well... [8D]
