Hey everyone, this game looks really neat. I browsed around, but couldn't find any info on when it would be coming out... does someone have the answer?

If only we DID have the answer![:(] Others have followed this site longer than me, and will perhaps reply to give you a fuller history, but since I've been following it (which has been from late last year), the due date was Christmas 2004; this did not happen, obviously. They are play-testing now to get rid of bugs and make sure it works right; and one recent article I read by one of the game developers (Marshall Ellis) said they were aiming for Spring, 2005. My gut tells me it will be summer, though.[8|]

Glad you like the look of the game. I hope many people buy it, making it a financial success for Matrix!

In the General Forum a "tentative" release schedule was listed:

Flashpoint Germany (very soon)
Supremacy
Maximum Football
Guns of August
War Plan Orange
Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar
Gary Grigsby's World At War

As can be seen EIA is not listed, so I gather there is some uncertainty regarding the release date.....I guess it will be slotted somewhere within the list, let's just hope it is not at the end, after WaW is released....[;)]

Hey guys:

Here's the standard "SOON"! Seriously, this is a very daunting task! Most games are developed along with their rule sets for the PC. Very few (Of this magnitude) are brought from their boards to the PC and when you do then you have a set of rules to comply with before you can release. Many compromises must be made and many changes as well. I have followed this forum just as long as anybody and trust me when I say that I'm ready BUT EiA is not ... just yet, that is ;-)

Sorry guys, I'm just not the fastest developer in the world nor do I have the resources of Microsoft BUT I won't quit until we're finished!

Thank you

Yeah mate I recken you are right there......Ive tried to do a little programming myself and trying to live up to a standard thats already expected, by a previous set of guidelines is hard to live up to, and therefore adapt it to PC format isnt easy.... You deserve full marks and admiration for what you are doing here, and I would like to forward my encouragement to you, and keep on going.
Ignore the knockers for they do not understand nor may I say will they ever understand.[;)]

I once programed a board game to run on my old C64 using BASIC. I moved the game PAYDAY to computer. Letting a computer take care of the easy moves in that game kind of made me realize what a boring game it was. It ran by itself for two months before I had to make a decision.

Scheduled release = (release date) + 3 years

This is the safest way not to [:@] while [>:] for a game to be released[;)]
