I am finishing up the Alphas for my newest set of Allied planetops. Anyone interested in using the current version of new planetops as represented by the thread in the Combined Scenario Design area please reply here with a good email address.

The first ten people will have the files emailed to them. I'd prefer it if you were familiar with the process of fiddling with art files, and have an eye for this kind of thing. I'd really like fresh eyes to look at the files in game and provide feedback on how well the alphas match up with the art file. Particularly the later war aircraft.

Ok,
I have completed the first beta. The current file will be the standard Allied Planetops from Matrix; exceptions being the aircraft I have posted on the Combined Mod Art Thread. No NEW aircraft have been added.

Thanks to my first 5 testers. I'd still like 5 more people to take a look at the files "in game". It is pretty easy to replace the aptop.bmp and aptop_alpha.bmp In no time you'll have these great looking planetops up and running in your game.

No guarantee that they will be perfect, however I am very confident that they will look great. Post you email here and you will receive the files and instructions on how to place them in the ART folder AND back up your originals.

Those of you using testing the planetops, if you could list the ones you have seen in game, please do. It will help me track progress. Also note whether they are OK or need touch ups.

I noticed the F4F-4 needs a little cleanup around the edges. Couple pixels out of place, and the P-40E_Alpha needs to be trimmed.

Haven't heard from any of my tester's so I am under the assumption that they work fine. Any feedback? Would still like you guys to let meknow which A/C you have actually seen in the game. Thanks!

Sorry, I responded in another thread a while back. Everything working fine so far!!![&o] Aircraft checked are primarily those available by Mar 42.

I like the sizes and the colors are excellent. Have there been additions since you sent me the file originally (about 3 weeks ago)?
