I have been having some problems in some of the games of WIR.

I completed a turn as Germany and sent my turn to the Russian player.
On my next turn, my units failed to capture any hex that had Russian Korps in them, even though I defeated them in combat. The Russian player noticed that he had lost a city one turn and the next turn it was under his control again (wasn't possible for him to capture).
I had captured ground but my korps that should of advanced and captured this ground had not moved.
Weird battle reports
Bombing missions showing unreadable text
Saved zipped files that were used as 1st turns for Germany, once installed gave Russia a supply level of 0
I have noticed ALOT of failed plots in my games but Im not sure if this is a bug or human error.

I have 2 games in 2 different folders, wir and possumv6
I have done a virus scan, nothing came up
I have deleted and reinstalled both games of wir and still have had some problems
I have deleted and reinstalled winzip
I have deleted and reinstalled wir/possumv6 again

Do you only need to install the possumv6 and wir zipped files to play possum?

Anyone have any ideas what is happening or advise me on what I can do?

somehow it still sounds like WIR and possum6 are "cross-contaminating" each other. maybe you once unzipped WIR game files from an opponent into your possum folder, or vice-versa ?...some of what you are describing reminds me of what happens if you try to play the '42 or '43 scenarios while in the possum folder...

I´m playing PEBM with Kingtiger, and I´ve the same troubles. But now, I´ve them with my other PEBM game. Some kind of contamination? I´ve not Possum.

Suddenly, the program do “things”. In a game, I canìt examine the air attacks in the previous turn, but I can see the ground attacks, and some units move without orders (in 1942). In other game, itìs worse: the German supply is mad, appears a garrison in Odessa, and some messages are in “machine language” or without logic (i.e: 12.000 aircrafts attacking in a combat).

And this occurs even in previous saved files, that I played normally.

Iìve deleted WiR, twice, and no way.

Iìve Windows S.E. Could anyone help me? Never happened this to me.[&:]

This is only happening in my WiR file and my possum games seem all fine. I dont play possum and wir games in the same letter as if I make a mistake down loading the game, I will see it and delete it. ( this has not happened in a very long time ) I dont think this is the problem as I have not downloaded possum files into wir and if I did, deleting the game and reinstalling it should fix the problem. I have never seen anything like this before and all efforts to fix, it make matters worse. All i know is that this problem stared around friday and i only played a turn with bidea.

Bidea, Im just wondering if you have deleted all your zipped files? I have deleted all of mine and the game seems to run ok after being reinstalled. I would guess that what ever problems we have, it is in these zipped files and that is how it is transfering to other computers.

Cause of the problem

This is just a way out idea. I do alot of strat bombing in my games and this would have to be the 1st time/place that I have notice wired game behaviour but It only happens in certain cities.

My Possum games have had no great problems as of yet but im starting to get reports of wierd things that have happened in possumv6. Just waiting on the person to give me more details.

I started a game with both players on human and used germanys airforce to strat bomb russia. Some factories types got bombed that a city did not have and after a while I got "machine code " text for my strat bombing missions. I think I done this play test before i reinstalled wir/possum but I would like to hear from anyone that has any expierences that are close to mine. I have not had the time to play test this strat bombing bug again to take detailed notes but if i recall correctly it stands out more in possumv6 and in the cities of kursk, yaroslav and voronezh. I wounder if this is a the bug in the game that is causing far out effects that we are having.
