I'm running on Pentium 4 3Ghz, w/ 512mb ram. Just purchased the game (v1.4) last friday...Last night at 1:00am local time set the game up in comp vs comp mode, with a three day turn cycle and messages set at .1. I then let it run. This morning approx 5.5 hours later the game had processed approximately 45 days as it was 01/23/1942 when I was allowed to resume control. My rough math estimated it would take roughly 180 hrs for the game to play itself to mid December 1945 with the comp issuing orders.

Cheers!

Hi, I had to route my machine through a time warp in order to play WITP. Now I can make my PBEM turns before they arrive. Without my warp I could not play because each turn takes 18 hours to run.

For extra memory I've been using squirrel brains I keep in a large tank. They don't process very fast (and I had to turn the sound off because of the squealing)

I already know how many times Mike Scholl is going to use the phrase "it's broken" before the world comes to an end but I'm not telling.

Nice Commodore 64 shot Mogs.

I had the very last version of C64 out with a slimline body and a 5-1/4 inch disk drive the size and weight of three house bricks.

I gave it away to a guy at work a few years ago (complete with the sweetener of the as new boxed version of Elite.)
