Miracle at Manila sitrep Mid January 43 playing lemur's 1.4 update

Just a little feedback on a game against the very hard AI using Lemur's 1.4 version of his scenario.
Manila continues to hold as of the middle of January 1943. I suppose I could have played the "right way" and withdrawn to Bataan/Corregidor. Fortress level is still 9. He loses 2 to 1 on every deliberate attack. He's at around 57,000 and I'm around 35,000.
Needless to say that in the game world there is furious debate and mounting political pressure to send a relief convoy to Manila. I still have my first six CV and about six new CVE's.
My guess is that the AI would not be able to react effectively were I to drive across the Pacific, even if it is reading my orders. And a human playing IJ wouldn't be in this situation unless totally inept.
BTW, there hasn't been any supply at Manila since April 1942. The way things are going I have a feeling that Manila will still be in Allied hands by the time I get there.
After I slog through this I might be ready for pbem.
Needless to say that IJ's problems in Manila have affected his campaign elsewhere. IJ never made it past Munda in the Solomons and most of western New Guinea is still flying Australian and Dutch flags.
