Okay if you already know about this you're dismissed. But if not then pay attention cause this could help you and be fun at the same time. Also keep in mind that this will probably be removed when Milo hears of this so use it while you still can.

In the mission briefing screen it is possible to have control over the fleet you are apart of. What I mean by this is that you can give waypoints to all the ships in the fleet you are apart of. An example would be if you are apart of the battlegroup A, you can still assign waypoints to battlegroups B,C, and D as long as you are all apart of the same fleet and assigned to the same system.

This can create a very good tactical advantage. As you know when you look at the system screen before going into the mission you can get some intel on what sectors the enemy is in. If you see that a certain battlegroup is assigned to a sector that doesn't have enemy forces in it you can ressign them for a mission elsewhere. If you have a squadron or battlegroup that is outnumbered and outgunned redirect them to an area that could use the reinforcements. A good commander knows where to put his pieces before an attack. [8D] Are you a good commander?

As I said before you can only do this in the mission section of the sim. After that you will only have contol of your battlegroup. This is why I called it Phase One fleet command. So plan carefully before you commit. And make sure you use the system screen before the mission as well. Once you inter the mission there will be no intel available so write down what enemies and enemy types are in that sector.

Now this may seem like cheating to some but as the pilot's say, "If you're not cheating, you're not trying."

Using this tactic may make it feel a bit easy at first so set your difficulty for elite to help balance it out.

Diabolico, This seems like a good trick to use until Milo get's that Grand Admiral bug fixed. Thus far I have not had a lockup when using this tactic. And trust me this works pretty good when you know your ships. Maybe Milo can program in a little fog of war so that intel you get isn't as useful as you'd like it to be. On the third campaign I was able to leave one of the enemy fleets with little more than two out of 6 battlegroups while taking on few loses. Afterwards I transfered to another fleet and assisted them in removing the carrier battlegroup. This of course will make it easy for my battlegroup to handle larger enemy forces in ship to ship or battlegroup to battlegroup combat.

Imagine the stories you'll have now hooking this one up eh? LOL! Anyway I hope someone finds this helpful.

Anyway let me know what you think. Good hunting!
