No more P51D in 3/45?

Hello there,
im playing the 45´ campaign as the allies and it is now 3/45 and i have Iwo Jima,
but i have only 2 squadrons of P51D (24 aircraft each) for escort missons[:(]
In the aircraft reinforcement list are no more P51D units listed...are this 2 units all P51´s in pacific theather?
That cannot be true

Odin, you should also have a Group of P-51D (72 aircraft). It does look like these three units are all the Mustangs you get.

. . . But I assume you can upgrade other units to the -51, can't you? Or is it not in any unit's upgrade path?

That cannot be true
I believe most P-51s were in Europe. Some did show up to escort B-29s over Japan but mostly they were in the European theater.

yes, 95% were in Europe. Only after May, when the B-17 doesent need a fighter escort a few groups were sent to the pacific. The USAAF B29's were often without escort on their way. The game represents this . of course it could go nasty if you got to 46.

in my game, it is 7/4/45 and I got 2 FS of 51's and 1 FG of them
the FG is on Iwo and one FS is in PI and the other in China
don't worry, by the time you need them, there is nothing to shoot down any more
