british withdrawal and DD's

Situation: July 1942, I have withdrawn 6 British DD’s, 6 have been sunk. That leaves only 14 on the map, but 4 of these (N class) are listed as Australian. So I only have 10 DD’s left, which could cover as few as 5 months of withdrawals, and Brit DD’s don’t begin arriving again for much longer than that (there’s only a couple in the list arriving in less than a year)
Questions:
1 Am I going to run out and lose 600 PPs a month or will it stop asking for DD’s if I have none left (I suspect the former).
2 Are the N class supposed to be Aussie or British? The “all ships” list I downloaded from Spooky’s site shows them as Brit. My copy of Conway’s says Nizam and Norman were indeed manned by Ozzies during the war but no such mention of Nestor and Napier. I assume these 4 were changed in an OOB update with one of the patches.
I guess my point is, 6 DDs in 7 months doesn’t seem like a bad loss rate for British DD’s. There don’t seem to be enough in the game to actually use any of them and still be sure of meeting the long term withdrawal requirements. Of course, not using them may indeed be pretty much historical.
Just looking for comments and feedback…

As you can see by the thread roguesmc pointed you to, I have 3 months of losing 300 pp's until another dd shows up. If you don't want to suffer a similar fate I'd keep those dd's safe[8D]

The AI doesn't always ask for Brit returns, (I've got a PBEM in which I had no requests for February and March) nor always for DDs. It just seems to me that the first request is always a CL and 2 DDs.
In any event, its a good idea to keep a collection of Brit ships near India, just in case of that "call in the night".

No It doesn"t. If you are playing the AI you can rerun the turn and not get any withdrawals[8D]

In answer to question 1, the penalty was for one month. The AI took the 300 points but relieved me of the reqirement for the DD. I don't know what would have happened if I had a DD and kept it. The penalty might have continued[&:]

G'day Stretch,
Yup, there was an OOB correction. See below a link to a RAN page detailing HMAS Napiers history.

It would be more useful if the game allowed smaller craft like corvettes etc to be withdrawn instead of DDs, at a slight PP penalty of course.

My point is the DD requirement is a design concession made before the OOBs were properly represented. During Beta, some Flower Class corvettes were added and even at the present point, further OOB additions including the Black Swan class and other sloops, River class frigates, and a multitude of other vessels have been sent in to 2by3 but have yet to be added. The mod Don Bowen is heading includes all these vessels and it would now be appropriate for the withdrawl feature to include these vessels. An even more universal withdrawl feature which includes merchants and USN vessels would also be most welcome based on realities of the Pacific theatre.

If ya need a hard time..you now know who to call.
Thanks on the banner. I played with it earlier. I have now started another one (just posted this one about an hour ago). It says 'War in the Pacific' and depicts something that's not happening in the Pacific...[:D]

Hi, You get 1500 PP per month. Plan ahead. I keep all the ships.
