Why is detachment capability orange?

Hello,
In a game that has a brilliant interface, I came across what I thought was an inconsistency. Why is the little circle denoting detachment capability for a unit green/orange, instead of gray/green for all other attributes?
I was just wondering. TIA.

This is definitely one of the few areas where the color coding doesn't seem intuitively obvious. Orange detachment symbol (when looking at unit capabilities in the pop up window) means it is detachment capable. Green detachment symbol means the unit cannot leave detachments...
Better would be green means unit can detach this turn (in current hex)...
Orange would mean unit can detach but current conditions prevent doing so (in the current hex)...
Grey-ed out would mean unit cannot do detachments...
