Strength SS-PzKorps

Hi all,

what is it that makes the SS-PzKorps so strong? Does the game play these corps just as twice as strong than normal corps?

Because I don't understand how it works I bring the SS always to the Western or Italian front because I know how strong they are there. I take then the Army Panzer Division from there and build up new corps for the Eastern Front.

How do you work with the SS? Are they really better (in the game)?

Regarding,
Andreas

i'm pretty sure that the 3 SS Pz Korps themselves are no different than a normal Pz Korps. SS Pz Divisions, however, get their power from the fact that if their experience is below 85 they train up to 85. normal Pz(/inf) Divisions are much lower - i think 60-65 or mabe even 70. compare to the soviet tank(/inf) divisions in 1941 which train up to 40, and in 1942 they train up to 45.

there is a possibilty that if you use the westfront/italian front to ready your SS Pz Divisions for the eastern front you might be slowing the process - i do believe they take casualties every turn so it may take longer to fill up!

Also SS-Divisions get new equipment and reinforces first so they got the best equipment and most men in their ranks.
