Fix of coast watcher for anniversary

I did start replaying when patch 2.4 came out, but stopped because of coast watcher situation. will the coast watcher thing be fixed - I hope so, because I always replay Matrix games on the anniversary of the battle (Coral Sea in this case). This year I have a point to prove with an Australian friend - I want to get to a point where both carrier fleets are damaged to the point of retreat, and then have the Japanese take Port Moresby. I want to make a point to him about what would have happened. My point is that the eventual defeat of Japan would have likely still been roughly the same time frame, but it would have been largely the Central Campaign. I dont see the MacAruthur plan of driving thru New G. accepted with Port Morseby firmly in Japan hands.
I do think, for my AU friend that Au would not have been invaded, but clearly bombed and raided as far as Brisbane at least, and US troops would have been stationed there even more than actual. Perhaps by 1944, a landing at Moresby would have been tried - it would have to have been almost at the scale of DDay.
Any comments?
PS I really enjoy Matrix efforts, and like to back them 100% - but have to say a little disappointed about a "final patch" that causes the coast watcher problem.
